I’d love to see more of Bonnie’s witchy cousin, Lucy!
The Vampire Diaries isn’t even two seasons old, and already The CW is uttering the s-word… and no, it’s not “Smolder-halder.” E! Online‘s Kristin Dos Santos is reporting that a spin-off — the phrase used is “companion series,” but I think we all know better — of the mind-blowingly amazing CW series is in the works, with executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec attached. It’s not yet known if any TVD characters will make the leap over to the new show, which is currently being described as a ”one-hour drama about a group of researchers who investigate paranomal happenings.”
And who better to accompany a group of supernatural sleuths than Bonnie’s traveling cousin Lucy (Natasha Williams?) If you’re going to investigate paranormal activity, it’d help to have someone paranormal on your side.
Now I know what you’re thinking: Doesn’t this show already exist, and isn’t it called Supernatural? I know you’re thinking it, because I’m thinking it too — but the whole idea of a TVD spin-off is pretty exciting and worth playing with.
What do you think? Are you excited about getting an extra hour of TVD-esque love per week, or are you worried that Williamson & Co. might be spreading themselves too thin too soon?
And drop me a comment to say who you’d like to see on the show!
