The former wild child will be playing a character in a comedy based on her life as a busy mother. We can’t wait to see this!
Wow — how the times have changed! A few years ago, Nicole Richie was a heroin-addicted Hollywood wild child. Now she’s going to be the newest sitcom mother. The 29-year-old mother-of-two, who cleaned up her act, inked a deal with the ABC network to co-produce and star in a show, loosely based on her life as a woman working hard to balance career and family. “The network thought Nicole had a hilarious take on motherhood and celebrity, and she’s a natural comic/actress,” a friend of Nicole’s tells the National Enquirer.
The show is really going to be a family affair because Nicole has recruited her soon-to-be husband, Joel Madden, to help out behind the scenes. “Nicole and Joel are excited about working together on such a big project,” the friend tells the tabloid. “He wants to be on the set as much as possible.” There’s even going to be a character based on the Good Charlotte rocker! And he’s been asked to help cast the part. Any suggestions as to who should get the role?
We hope that the couple that works together stays together. They’ve been dating since 2006 and have two children — Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 15 months. They reportedly plan to make it official in just a few days’ time, when they tie the knot on Sunday (Dec. 5) at Nicole’s father Lionel Richie‘s Los Angeles mega mansion. I wonder if they’ll have to cut the honeymoon short, to get to work on the show?
