Happy Birthday, Katherine Heigl! You're 32 Today, November 24!

The Life As We Know It Star has had a year full of changes! With a new baby and a smoking habit kicked to the curb, Katherine has a lot to celebrate!

In September 2009, Katherine Heigl and her musician husband Josh Kelly adopted Naleigh, 23 months, from Korea and have embraced parenthood ever since. We can’t believe it has already been over a year since Katherine brought home her baby girl and left behind her beloved role of Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy. Now, the actress is working on her film career and has already starred in two romantic comedies–Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Life As We Know It with Josh Duhamel… not bad!

Katherine says being a mother has changed her in a personal way. “You have this empathy suddenly — this compassion for a mother going through anything complicated or difficult with a child,” she says. “It’s something that I understand now — that unbelievable drive and instinct to protect.”
