Angelina Jolie Wants to Ban Thanksgiving from Her Home Because It's 'Murder'! You Surprised?

What does Thanksgiving mean to the Jolie-Pitt family? Just another Thursday in November, the pilgrims’ pogrom, and unforgivable genocide, apparently.

As we all know, there is definitely mass killing native to every Thanksgiving holiday — 45 million innocent turkeys are brutally oven-roasted and viciously dismembered, and their remains callously eaten, every year. But there’s another kind of murder that is driving Angelina Jolie to ban the holiday from her household.

PopEater’s Rob Shuter claims that because of what “the white settler did to the native Indians,” she “hates” Thanksgiving and won’t be observing with the traditional starch-engorgement/trytophanic overdose/interfamilial resentments.

“She definitely doesn’t want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder,” says a source. Perhaps Ms. Jolie-Pitt forgets that the first Thanksgiving, at least by popular consent, was a celebration between the Wampanoag Native American tribe and the pilgrims — for saving the Wampanoags from starving.

Dad Brad Pitt has other plans; he tells EXTRA he’s going to “whip up a turkey” wherever the family happens to be. Let the strife begin!

i agree with her because it was one of the first genocides in history. it should not be named thanksgiving because the indians did not want to get killed nor did the pilgrams say thanks! and i’m not even native american!

I just read something about pilgrims saving native americans from starvation in their own country. I just want to say that is a bunch of bullS@#$T and to educate themselves. Why would a group of people starve in their OWN country?? So stupid!! good for you angelina jolie!! I ban thanksgiving too!!

jolie doesn’t know history! the pilgrims and indian got together to celebrate surviving with the help of the indians. how can she be against guns since she let maddox have a army party and have knives! it is a time to be THANKFUL. however if you notice jolie always is putting the US down. go back and read and listen to her comments about Americans!

The genocide of Native American didn’t begin until the 1700s really, and considering the first thanksgiving was celebrated in the early 1600s… ehh… whatevs.

It was the other way around. The Wampanoags saved the white settlers from starving. The pilgrims didn’t even know how to build a suitable shelter let alone hunt and plant. Half of them were dead after the first winter until Squanto, FORMERLY ENSLAVED BY WHITES, came along and taught the settlers how to survive. The first “thanksgiving” the Native Americans were invited to was actually for the signing of a treaty which the settlers used to take the land from the Wampanoag. Some thanks. Who cares whether or not she observes the holiday; just get your facts right. That’s your job as a journalist, whoever you are who wrote this “article.” Otherwise, keep your gobble-de-gook out of print.

What phenomenal BS!! Angie has talked about doing Thanksgiving with her kids before in press interviews.

I know this is an anti-Angelina site but this story is so ridiculous and laughable. Both Brad and Angelina have talked about Thanksgiving celebrations several times over the years. I doubt Angelina woke up this morning and decided she hated Thanksgiving. If she opposed Thanksgiving don’t you think she would have said something by now? People are so blinded by hate they aren’t even thinking logically.

why can’t we just stuff Angelina Jolie on thanksgiving that way we can be even more thankful that we don’t ever have to hear of her again!!!!!

We do not celebrate it either, neither christmas, ester, etc…. IF we would celebrate those fairy tells from the bible, then we have to celebrate also : snow white+ the dwarfs, litle red cap and the awful wolf who eat grandma etc… NO we do not belong to any “cult” like, catholic, lutheran, grec orthodox, etc… O we CELEBRATE nice like :
Birthdays, the receiving diplomas (we all have it in the family)all the good thinks what did happened in our lifes WE do celebrate those including 15-th of may because the weather starts to be gorgeous ! Make your own celebration up, YOU will see how great that is, NO need to monkey arround with what society is dictating to do !! Try this too: NEVER follow the fashion you wear ONLY thinks what YOU realy look good on you !! All this thinks do have an EXTREM

She needs to get a grip. I’m so sick of hearing about her and how she’s going to save the world. She needs to actually know what she’s talking about before she starts crying foul and start thinking about what she’s actually thankful for.
