Food Network star Paula Deen of Paula’s Home Cooking shares her recipe for a delicious hot cranberry cider! If your family is in the mood for a tasty drink to warm their souls this holiday season, Paula’s cider is the perfect choice! Just follow these simple directions and you will have a scrumptious drink, that can be made even better with a splash of spirits, to share with your loved ones on Turkey Day! Enjoy!
Paula Deen’s Hot Cranberry Cider
Ingredients:
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 cinnamon sticks, plus additional to use as stirrers
1 tablespoon whole cloves
6 cups cranberry juice
8 cups apple juice
Light rum, brandy, or bourbon, optional
Directions:
Put the sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in the basket of a coffee percolator. Put the juices in the bottom of the percolator. Let the mixture perk as if making coffee. Serve with cinnamon stick stirrers. If desired and a little rum, brandy, or bourbon.
Servings: 3 1/2 quarts, 18 servings
