Chris Brown has been taking his punishment for assaulting Rihanna very seriously, and the courts are consistently impressed by him. However, are you impressed enough to forgive him?
During the past two progress reports Chris Brown has attended, the judge has been quick to compliment the singer on his work ethic, even saying, “no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have.” If Chris is actually serious about changing his ways, should he get a second chance in the entertainment industry?
Since assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, Chris, 21, has been considered the lowest of the low. His career never got back on track, even though RiRi continues to shine. The media blasted him, or just ignored him completely. Plus, when other celebrities were exposed for their scandalous behavior (Tiger Woods, Charlie Sheen), it doesn’t seem to drag them down the way this felony charge brought Chris to his knees.
Since Chris has proven to the courts he is taking his community service and court-ordered domestic violence counseling to heart, it could be viewed as the beginnings of a rehabilitated man. Does he deserve a second chance, both in the eyes of his fans and in the eyes of the entertainment industry? What will it take for Chris Brown to be at the top again, if ever? Is it possible he will never again escape the horrible night when he lost everything?
