Willow Palin used the F-word while blasting a kid on Facebook for bashing her mom. Do YOU think she’s homophobic?
With all of the talk of Internet bullying, it’s refreshing to see someone stand up for herself and her family. However, when Willow Palin lashed out at a mean kid on Facebook Nov. 14, she called him the F-word — and we don’t mean Fancy Pants, either. Do you think this is a case of good intentions with bad execution…or is Willow completely insensitive?
Here’s what happened:
During the premiere of her mom’s show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, Nov. 14, one of Bristol’s classmates posted a status on Facebook reading, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska, is failing so hard right now.”
Willow responded with: “Haha your so gay. I have no idea who you are, But what I’ve seen pictures of, your disgusting … My sister had a kid and is still hot.”
The 16-year-old Alaskan native didn’t leave it at that either, writing, “Tre stfu. Your such a f**got.”
Yikes! You’d think someone with a mom in the public spotlight (and in politics, no less) would choose her words more carefully! Even though she’s only 16, that’s old enough to know not to post homophobic slurs online (or anywhere for that matter).
Not only that, Willow’s language is perpetuating the unfortunate Republican/GOP stereotype that all Conservatives are insensitive racists — which surely won’t help her mom win the presidency in ’12.
Bristol Palin apologized for Willow’s comments on Facebook Nov. 16, writing, “Willow and I shouldn’t have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize.”
Why didn’t Willow apologize too?
Bottom line: Willow was trying to stand up for her family, but only succeeded at making the Palin’s look worse.

Way to stack the results, Excusing her in the slurs. I now know hollywoodlife is prepared to back people who use hateful language just because their parents are famous. Have we already forgotten the deaths of young Americans from homophobic bullying? It doesn’t matter if a word is common, that doesn’t make it less hateful or disgusting. Didn’t you ever learn from your mom asking if you’d jump off a cliff if all your friends were?
Way to go hollywood life, and way to go Willow Palin.
