Mark Ballas Tells Us Democrats Love Bristol Too & 'All The Hard Work Has Paid Off!' EXCLUSIVE!

The DWTS finals are here! And after a shocking elimination episode, we talked to the dance partner of the contestant that everyone has their eyes on!

All the boos in the world could not ruin the night for Mark Ballas and Bristol Palin and their advancement to the final three couples on Dancing with the Stars Nov. 16. When we chatted with Mark about the results, he had some surprising theories about Bristol’s voters!

After congratulating the 24-year-old dancer for waltzing into the semi-finals, we asked him who he thought his team’s biggest competitionwas going into next week. “Ourselves,” he tells us simply. “We can’t control what the other couples do, so we only focus on doing our best.”

Speaking of control, Mark doesn’t believe that Bristol’s mom has “anything to do” with the outcome of the votes. Despite speculation that Sarah Palin and her Republican devotees was a huge factor in Bristol, 20, making it this far, Mark refuses to see it that way. “I’ve had many democrats tell me they find Bristol relatable,” he says. “They appreciate her being out of her element and find her journey as a non performer inspiring.”

Not only does America find “Bristol The Pistol” inspiring, but her own dance partner shares those sentiments.

“[The most rewarding moment of the season was] taking someone that has zero performing experience and taking her as far as she’s come,” Mark reveals proudly. “All the hard work has paid off!”

When Mark wasn’t molding Bristol into a talented dancer, he’s been busy choreographing “Cinderella: a Modern Musical Extravaganz” by Lythgoe Family Productions, Magic Pictures International and Jason Haigh-Ellery, which will take place at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood from Nov. 27-Dec.19. I’m a registered Democrat anti-Palin too. I’ve voted for Bristol and Mark the entire season for the reasons mentioned in the article.

100% Democrat- 100% for Bristol/Mark. Different people vote for different reasons. For me: She is the most improved with no dancing, no entertainment, show biz background and people love to see the journey of the underdog. Another big plus, the chemistry between her and mark; its like he is in love with her. People love soaps and a little romance. Third, She has a likeable personality and some balls to stand in front of millions and experienced celebrities.
If it wasn’t for the press and all the negative people out there stirring trouble and calling so much attention to her, there wouldn’t be the excuse that other people are just picking up to phone to show them off and keep her in. Nothing to do with politics; people just don’t like bullying and they want to defend her

My dad is a die-hard democrat and cannot stand Sarah Palin, but adores Bristol. He’s ready to adopt her, so that blows the republican theory out of the water. She really seems like a sweet, hardworking girl, who has busted her chops to get where she’s at. Some of these comments are so out of line. No, she was not the “best” dancer, but she is an ordinary girl with NO entertainment experience AT ALL, and has turned out some great dances these last few weeks. She’s come a long way and deserves to be there. Honestly, how would you feel if this was your child? Would you still be saying these cruel things? And don’t say my child would never be a teenage mom, you never know what situation you will find yourself in, especially when you are standing so harshly in judgement of someone else. “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:5

Sorry but she is a terrible dancer. Even if she has improved too many of the other dancers who were much better than her have been unjustly knocked out of the competition. It is very unfair.

It is not unfair. These are the rules and have been the rules for ten seasons.

What absolutely amazes me is how many people have said its unfair if the best dancer doesn’t win. Then lets go ahead and give the trophy to Jennifer Grey right now. She has the best scores. Brandy and Kyle don’t have scores as high as Jennifer either. So there fans should NOT be voting for them. They should logically and with no emotion or bias cast all of their votes for Jennifer based on dance skill alone. Otherwise it is just unfair, right? You can’t have it both ways.

Well if you take the time to see how the score is calculated Bristol and Mark needed to get less that 2% more of the votes in order to beat Brandy and Maks. I don’t think that would take a conspiracy.I voted for them because I love them. And I’m not a Independent. So I guess Mark is right.

Loved the paso doble. And I just think the two of them have so much chemistry and are such a fun couple. Even if I wouldn’t have voted for Bristol and Mark I wouldn’t have voted for Brandi and Maks. I just didn’t care for them. She seemed so needy and dramatic and just not appealing to me personally.

How much was he paid to say that. I am a lifelong Democrat and I would be very depressed to believe that any Democrat voted for the daughter of that former governor.

See that’s the thing. I don’t think its the Palin supporters who are making this political. Its the people who hate Sarah Palin. Which is your choice but why can’t you seperate Bristol from her mother’s politics?

Because it is illogiacl for someone to have the losest scores for 5 weeks to get this far. Especially when other far more talented people were voted off.
HAve you forgotten that week where Bristol donned a bear custom and forgot her steps? How did she survive that week? She is NOT a celebrity. She is infamous for being the knocked up teenage daughter of a former VP candidate. She does not have her own fans. She’s getting the voted from her mom’s followers.
