After years of trying to conceive, the Desperate Housewives star and her husband Tony Parker were finally turning to adoption, according to reports. But now it looks like Eva will have to postpone her motherhood plans.

Eva Longoria Parker had reportedly been searching North, Central and South America in the hopes of finding the perfect little bundle of joy for her and husband Tony Parker, 28. But now that she’s filed for divorce from the NBA star, it seems that she’ll have to hold off on becoming a mom for at least for a little while. It’s so sad to hear about another Hollywood couple heading for divorce.

“She’s spent months checking out adoption agencies and researching the process,” an insider tells Star, adding that Eva and Tony were hoping to have a baby by next summer. “Having a big family is really important to both us. I feel more confident in myself now, and Tony and I would love for children to happen,” Eva said during happier times.

Eva wants lot of babies

According to Us magazine, the couple split after Eva found hundreds of text messages between Tony and another woman and she crushed that their sudden split could ruin her chances of becoming a mother. “Eva very much wanted to be a mom. She is wonderful with kids,” a source tells the magazine.

Eva dishes about her BFF Mario Lopez: “He changed his first diaper and put it on backwards.”

The Desperate Housewives star is certainly not one to run from hard work, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she decides to adopt as a single mom. “She jokes that she’ll have a baby in one hand and her BlackBerry in the other!” the insider tells Star.

Hey HollyMoms, do you think Eva should go ahead and adopt a baby all by herself?
