Farrah's Baby Is Developing Slowly According To Grandma Stormie Clark! EXCLUSIVE!

Tue, November 16, 2010 6:38am EDT by 17 Comments

Stormie Clark hasn’t been able to see baby Sophia since her chance encounter with her granddaughter at a park last summer, but she thinks Sophia may need to be checked out by a doctor!

Farrah Abraham hasn’t let her deceased baby’s daddy’s mom see baby Sophia since she was born, but Stormie Clark tells HollyBaby.com she did have a chance encounter with her granddaughter over the summer when she ran into the baby with a sitter at the local park.  As a mother herself for more than 21 years, she noticed Sophia’s development was not up to where it should be.

“When I was holding her and talking to her and playing with her, I could tell her developmental skills weren’t up to par,” Stormie tells us exclusively. “Sophia couldn’t stand or walk, it seemed like something was wrong with her.”

Stormie isn’t the first person to have come out publicly about Sophia’s development. In an interview with OK! magazine, licensed childcare provider Brittney Sheer told the mag, “Farrah tended to leave Sophia with strangers a lot.”

What’s worse is that the sitters are claiming Farrah neglects her child (forgetting to pick her up), and that there are dirty diapers sitting all over her house!

We hope Farrah is looking out for baby Sophia and that she’s actually developing just fine!

I love all the teen moms and their babies..however I’ve noticed Sophia does seem delayed. Some of the babies from teen mom 2 are talking a lot more than Sophia. Aubree is a year younger than Sophia and she is talking up a storm. Jace is also a year younger and janelle and Barbara are always screaming at each other. He talks a lot too and makes eye contact. Sophia makes very little eye contact. It could be the way MTV edits the show but I doubt it. I hope this beautiful little girl is ok and if not I hope they get her to some Drs to figure out what’s wrong.

Farrah has no idea about mothering. Not saying she is a bad mom she just doesn’t know. Farrah’s mother isn’t one of the greatest.
Forgetting her child & leaving her with strangers…she wants to act her age & doesn’t think of a child holding her back. In the end, yes that could get her into trouble.
Developing slowly..children develop at different times. I know children that start walking 10months and others that don’t walk until they are almost 2! My son will be a year in 2weeks and just took his first 3 steps yesterday! And I’ve been trying to get him to walk for the past 2 months!

ok first of all how is farrah holding her development back just bcuz she takes some metime doesn’t mean she’s doing anything wrong. i have 2 children with developmental delays and that has nothing 2 do with how they were raised so how dare u imply that

It’s ashame, I noticed that Sophia was not progressing way back when she was very little. Farrah is a put on. She is to busy to notice this. Sophia just never was with it. Farrah always carries her around. You can see that she does not talk or have any interest in walking. She just looks slow.

And what is “regular” to you? Just because a child is developing at a rate slower than some others doesn’t mean that it’s not “regular” or that it will have any less of a life than a child who is developing at a different pace.

Myself, I didn’t start walking til I was over 18months which isn’t “regular.” I have no health issues or anything I was just a late walker. All babies develop at their own rate.

This is so sad! I have watched this mtv show from the beginning, when it was 16 and pregnant. First of all mtv and these young girls that were in high school are sending the wrong message to teenage viewers. Maci and Farrah took a picture with Bristol Palin in LA. I mean, come on! These girls think that celebrity opportunities are going to fall into their laps, now that they’re on the cover of every magazine. Not going to happen ladies! And the babies are the ones paying the price for their mother’s being in the public eye. These kids are all neglected, except for Catelynn’s. Shame on you girls! Those babies should have 100% of your attention and affection. When that doesn’t happen, it affects every fiber in their little bodies. So Farrah, you have only yourself to blame. It is obvious that you want everyone to feel sorry for you because of your baby daddy passing away. You show fake remorse and fake crying to get sympathy on the show! No one is buying it! And the only reason you moved out of your moms house is because the courts made you! Because you and your wacked mother fight with each other, and with weapons! So it is no wonder that poor baby Sophia is showing major signs of slow developmental skills. You need more help than what the therapist mtv made you go to in order to be around your mother. Your glamour days are numbered little girl. You’d better shape up and mature a hell of a lot as a mother or you will get Sophia taken away from you. She would be better off, that’s for sure.

Oh, wow. I don’t think anyone will listen to you until you learn how to spell. Please keep your legs shut and don’t reproduce until you learn how to spell.

This is kind of an awful article. The only question I had at the end of reading this was “who cares?” There are hundreds of thousands of children with delayed development. The tone in which this article is written gives me the distinct impression that a delay in development would be a God-awful thing. For the rest of the information shared, this girl is what – 17 years old? It’s another lesson for young girls not to have children so young – or rather, to be smarter about the choices they make. A 17 year old is not equipped to be a mother – their bodies and minds are still developing! I hope that her help can provide the attention Farrah cannot right now…

Seriously most of these girls are better than WOMAN DOUBLE THEIR AGE!! HOW old was the lady injecting her kid with botox..??? Not 17!! How old are all those mothers who come out on the news thar beat their kids or drown em???? Not 17!!! Get ur damn facts straight!!!!!!
