The singer is busy with a booming country career and life as a fashion icon, so is she rushing to have babies with hockey hottie Mike Fisher right away?
Carrie Underwood wore six different designer gowns and hosted the Country Music Awards for the THIRD time on Nov. 10 — quite the accomplishment for someone whose first album debuted only four years ago! Her popularity among country fans and style-devotees alike has landed her on the cover of InStyle‘s December issue. Could moms be her newest fan base?
During her interview with the mag, Carrie addresses the recent baby buzz surrounding her marriage to Mike Fisher: “Oh, it’s going to be a while. The other night Mike was with some friends and their kids, and he sent me a funny text saying, “‘Watching my friend’s kids… Let’s wait a while.’ I didn’t grow up around kids, and I hope those motherly instincts are in me. I’m sure they are, but I don’t know what to talk about with a 4-year-old!”
She doesn’t seem to be letting Hollywood’s obsession with celeb babies affect her, and it’s a good thing because her career shows no sign of cooling off. She also stays strong when it to comes to fending off fashion naysayers and says, “I used to think, I don’t want anyone to say bad things about me. But now it just makes me mad to see someone blasted for what she wore. Fashion, to me, is what makes you feel awesome.”
