Supermodel Miranda Kerr shows off her baby bump on the cover of Vogue Australia and in an interview with 60 Minutes, her grandma reveals that Miranda and her new husband, Orlando Bloom, bicker like most married couples!
Miranda Kerr graces the January issue of Australia’s Vogue magazine and admits that she’s ready to slow down, relax and enjoy her pregnancy. “I’m definitely taking more time out to relax and be present to the whole experience of being pregnant,” she tells Vogue. Miranda, 27, who just posed nude for W magazine, showing off her beautiful bump in bloom, is looking forward to meeting her little one and becoming a mother. “Every mother I’ve spoken to has said you cannot explain the profound feeling of love that comes over you as soon as the baby is born,” she gushes. “I’m really looking forward to that moment.”
Miranda, who’s married to heartthrob Orlando Bloom, is not just a Victoria Secret angel. The model recently published the self-help book Treasure Yourself, launched her own organic cosmetics company KORA and participates in charity work for organizations like Wildlife Warriors Worldwide and Children International.
“The great thing about the choices that I’ve made is that, you know, modeling gave me a face, and with the face came a voice, and with that voice, hopefully, I can make a positive difference,” Miranda tells Charles Wooley in an exclusive interview for the Australian edition of 60 Minutes. “I’ve traveled the world and, you know, have been leading this so-called glamorous life, but I really appreciate the simple things in life. And they’re the things that we need, like good food and good, clean water and love.”
Speaking of love, Miranda is head over heels for Orlando, 33, although her grandma Anne Kerr, who was present at the interview, says they fight just like any other married couple! “Well, so far, I see he’s very kind, very gentle, very good to Miranda. Mind you, like any married couple, you’ll hear raised voices,” Anne says. “Oh, Nan!,” Miranda quickly responds. “And, then, I’ll hear, I’ll say to myself, “That’s love, endearment,” because, next minute, they’ve got their arms around each other,” adds Miranda’s Nan. Isn’t it comforting to know that even celebrity couples, who seem to have it all, still find things to bicker about?
Soon the adorable duo will have their arms full with their little baby Bloom, but until that day arrives Miranda is simply enjoying pregnancy. So much so that the model wants to get a bronze mold of her belly! “One thing I was tempted to order online is a thing you can put on your tummy to make a mold of your tummy in bronze and you can keep that forever. That way you can always have that memory,” Miranda says. ”You do this mold and then when the baby comes out you can put the baby in a blanket in the mold so it feels like it’s still in your tummy.” What a wonderful keepsake for Miranda and Orlando, as well as their little one!
