KIRSTIN SAYS: Bristol & Kyle Deserve To Go To The Finals…Brandy Or Jennifer Needs To Go!

They may not be the strongest dancers, but Kyle Massey and Bristol the Pistol Palin are by far the most likable and entertaining contestants on Dancing with the Stars — the other two ladies are boring!

I cannot believe we’ve already reached the end of the Dancing with the Stars Season 11 road, but alas, the semi-finals were upon us Nov. 15, making it time to whittle the contest down to the final three. Unlike in seasons past, this time around I’m NOT rooting for the most coordinated, perfected stars on the dance floor — it’s the young, unpolished (yet absolutely endearing) contestants that have my vote!

  • Jennifer Grey, 50, didn’t miss a step tonight — and she received 60/60 points for her flawless performances! That said, I feel like the audience has a difficult time connecting with her…or maybe it’s just me.
  • Brandy‘s first dance was so uninteresting that I’ve already forgotten it. I know she did well (ish) all night, but at the end of the day, I’d give her the boot! See ya later, Brandy!
  • Kyle Massey has more fun on this show than anyone I’ve ever seen before! He lives it up every night on the dance floor. Instead of the “Must Win” attitude that Brandy and Jennifer both cannot seem to shake, Kyle gives it his all and “gets on with it.” I really hope this kid doesn’t get sent home due to having a smaller fan base than the rest of his competition– he’s the most deserving person for the win!
  • “Bristol the Pistol” Palin ROCKED it tonight. During her Paso Doble, she gave major attitude; her waltz was so dramatic, I was near tears. Seriously, can you believe how much she’s improved? In the beginning of the season, she was Kate Gosselin-bad. Now she’s objectively a good dancer. I cannot get over this transformation! Go Bristallion!
  • Side note: Tom Bergeron is like your outgoing uncle who throws out one liners, like the bird lady throws out seeds. I’m going to miss him. Sad face.
  • Can you believe how incredible all the dancers were tonight? Who do you think deserves to go on to the finals?

I agree that Bristol has worked her way into the viewers hearts. I still don’t think ABC will allow her to win (even if she does get enough viewer votes to swing it her way). I think they’ve enjoyed the hoopla/controversy she has brought to the show. I mean, just look at the comments here…and you read this stuff everywhere right now – so, it’s definitely been a good ride for DWTS to have included Bristol this season (like her or not). Additionally, she is not the best dancer on the show, so I don’t think she’ll win.

Bristol Palin’s waltz was so beautiful it brought me to tears. What a wonderful wonderful dance. This show is about learning to dance and if you think that Bristol Palin has not shown that more than ANY other contestant, you should get your eyes checked. She is what this show is all about. I would like to see more contestants like her in the future. Stars with dance backgrounds should not be asked, of course Jennifer Grey can dance, she’s a trained dancer. It is much more interesting to see someone go from nothing to what Bristol did last night.

Britol’s waltz was good but she still is stiff as a board and can’t dance she should have been the first person booted off the show!!!

Jennifer Grey learned to dance for “Dirty Dancing” which was 23 YEARS AGO!!!! She didn’t dance professionaly before that and has not danced in any kind of professional capacity since then. Bristol may have “improved” (cough, choke, puke) but the people who went home before her, i.e. Rick, Audrina, Kurt, Florence, even Margaret Cho, also improved and were far better dancers when they left than Bristol is now.

By the way, since apparently people speak before they think, Jennifer Grey was also involved in a horrific car accdent in Ireland in 1987 and has suffered through years of domino-effect consequences from her injuries. The worst of these involved her neck. When she was invited to join the cast of DWTS this season, she got checked out and it was discovered that the nerves and tendons in her neck had separated, her neck was technically broken, and even the slightest bump could completely paralyze her for life. She underwent surgery and has a titanium plate and screws in her neck, but the bad news didn’t quite stop there. During her check-up, her neurologist found a bump and, after doing a biopsy, it was found to be cancerous. Thankfully, complete removal of the lump also removed all of the cancer.

Jennifer Grey was not my favorite – I was rooting for Rick and Cheryl – but by no stretch of the imagination has she had an advantage.

This article by Kristin is trying to put a positive spin on the mess the execs at ABC have gotten themselves into by putting the daughter of a diabolic political opportunist on DWTS. If Bristol wins real Stars should boycott the show,Kill it! Stars for once stand up for something if Bristol Palin wins, BOYCOTT THE SHOW!

I don’t agree that ABC has gotten themselves into a “mess” by having Bristol on DWTS. Quite the opposite, really. It’s all about ratings and buzz, both of which including Bristol has created. ABC would do this again in a heartbeat!

Bristol is better looking than you!
If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he’ll forward it so his friends to they can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he’s “offended.”

Chris – I am a liberal. I disagree strongly with those statements, as they are completely wrong as applied to me or most of my liberal friends.

Your list of comparisons is the easy way to simplify things so that you can dislike liberals. I have seen some similar lists that work the other way, but like all simplification, they do not take into account the complications of Reality.

I am sorry that you think that liberals are the way you have listed. Liberals generally want more options and inclusiveness, not less. Your perceptions of what liberals may want seem quite distorted to me.

While I’ll agree that Kyle is awesome and I would love to see him win you are down right nuts if you think that Bristol should win. Yes she has tried really hard and has come a long way but this is a dancing competition. That means the best dancer should win and she is Not the best dancer. She doesn’t even come close to the other three that are left. If she wins I really am done with this show.

The author did didn’t say that Bristol should win the competition. The author said that Bristol should go to the finals, and I agree.

I want to like Brandy, but I find each and everyone of her dances boring! I just can’t connect with her, I guess!

Totally agree – it’s time that people stop doing things because of their emotions only! The article’s author wants to pick a winner of a dance COMPETITION because she likes her personality, or because she tried hard? Really!?!?!?!

Don’t vote for people, whether it’s dancing or politics or whatever, just because you “like them” or they “seem nice”, how about trying to figure out whether they can actually perform the task well???

So Bristol showed some persistence, some heart, some “try” – then label her the most improved, she should not win top honor – that’s for people who display the most competence and ability.
