Her glam squad spills the details on how to get her gorgeous reddish-brown hair!
Twilight star Ashley Greene arrived at the Inside the mark Studio event last night rocking some SERIOUSLY gorgeous hair! I immediately called her hair squad and got them to DISH! Here’s how to get the 23-year-old Cullen clan beauty’s killer hair look:
Ashley gets her hair done at the A-list Ted Gibson Salon, which is where you’ll find Celebrity Colorist and L’Oreal Professionel consultant Jason Backe, the man responsible for Ashley’s gorgeous color. “I’ve been obsessed with garnet and ruby tones for brunettes,” says Jason. “It’s a great way that you can change your look for the season with a demi-permanent color. Just a commitment for the season. Two to three months and it’s gone. Plus, the great thing about a demi-permanent like this is the incredible shine.”
Ashley “wanted to go red but wanted to leave the room with people describing her as a brunette,” explains Jason. That’s a “great way to describe it the color to the colorist. L’Oreal Richesse (their demi-permanent line) is what I used on Ashley in equal parts 4N and 4.56.”
I then turned to her mane man, Celebrity Hairstylist and Hair Expert from TLC’s What Not To Wear Ted Gibson to get the particulars on the style. “We started in the morning smooth for Access Hollywood and then in the evening, I suggested pretty soft waves, which always look youthful and pretty,” says Ted. Here’s how he got her effortlessly chic style:
- Starting with damp hair, Ted worked in Build It Blow Drying Spray and used a Ted Gibson Hair Sheet to rub product in from the roots. He used a boar bristle brush to blow Ashley’s hair smooth.
- He then applied Tame It Shine Lotion to her dry hair and then, using a medium-barrel curling iron, wrapped 1″ sections of her hair around it, making sure to curl the ends for a face-framing bend.
- Ted then had Ashley flip her head over. He ran his fingers through the curls, then spritzed Beautiful Hold Hairspray from the ends upward toward the nape of her neck, then sprayed the style as she flipped her head upright again.
