Gwyneth Paltrow Drops 20 Pounds In Two Weeks! Here's How She Did It!

The mom of two’s trainer, Tracy Anderson, put her on a grueling dance-cardio program that helped Gwyneth lose the weight fast!

Gwyneth Paltrow must be Superwoman! The actress, singer and mother of two — daughter Apple, 6, and son Moses, 4 — dropped 20 pounds in the matter of weeks after having to gain the weight for her role as an aging alcoholic country singer her new flick Country Strong! “For this role in Country Strong, they had her gain weight for it. That was tough for me because we’ve worked so hard on her body,” Gwyneth’s personal trainer Tracy Anderson tells ABC News. “She went down from six days a week of training to three and she ate everything in sight. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes.”

So how did Gwyneth lose that much weight so quickly? “I work freaking hard. It’s no accident,” she says.

The 38-year-old focused on a specialized dance-cardio program specifically put together for her by Tracy. With low-weight, high-repetition training and a strict diet, Gwyneth was able to target her small muscle groups, helping her to slim down and drop pounds.

“It didn’t take her very long to lose it,” says Tracy. “It only took her a couple of weeks. It didn’t want to be on her anyway. Extra weight isn’t something that she owns.”

“Anytime you have to rebuild endurance again, it’s not fun,” adds Tracy. “She’s just one of those people who knows what needs to be done and she does it.”

Gwyn also put in a grueling one-and-a-half hour workout prior to her country singing performance debut at the Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 10).
