Jessica Simpson was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Nov. 11 and told him she’s at complete peace with Nick and Vanessa’s engagement!
Rumors have been swirling that Jessica Simpson is broken hearted over Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo’s recent engagement, but the 30-year-old pop princess went on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Nov. 11 to clear up any misconceptions – and she couldn’t stop gushing.
“I am extremely, extremely happy for him,” Jessica told Ryan on his KIIS-FM radio show.
She launched into an entire monologue, trying to explain what happened. “I couldn’t be more happy for Nick. I don’t know where all those rumors came from. My mom actually called me and told me that everybody was saying that I was ‘saddened.’ And I was just in complete shock,” she said.
“You know, our relationship was over a really long time ago, so it would be nice if everybody could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa. I do, and I wish them nothing but the best.”
It sounds like it might be time for us all to move on from the good old days of Nick and Jessica, because they clearly have. Do you think Jessica is really happy for Nick, or is she trying to save face?
