Can Jessica Simpson Knock Mariah Carey Off The Top Of The Xmas Charts With Her New Song & Album? Listen Here!

Thu, November 11, 2010 7:32pm EDT by 9 Comments

It’s the battle of the holiday divas! Do you want a Jessica Simpson or a Mariah Carey CD more in your stocking this year?

We haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet, but it’s already time to talk about the holidays! Mariah Carey‘s Merry Christmas II You album hit stands Nov. 2 and Jessica Simpson‘s Happy Christmas will be in stores on Nov. 22 – which diva do YOU think will sell more albums and have more hits on the charts this year?

Mariah’s new album — which features the hit single, ”Oh Santa” — is currently number four on the Billboard charts. However, it’s bound to have some competition with the just released “My Only Wish” by Jessica Simpson.

Both pop starlets have had holiday albums in the past, with Mariah Carey selling more than 5 million copies of her previous Christmas CD, “Merry Christmas.”

Take a listen to both songs and tell us who you think has the upper hand!

Do not compare MARIAH CAREY to Jessica Simpson and ask which one is better. That is musical blasphemy.

It would be nice if there was actually a link posted to listen to both songs. Can’t really compare them if you can’t hear them.

“my only wish for christmas is you”
“all i want for christmas is you”

wtf. same song.

mariah wins, either way. jessica’s song is a mariah rehash. and an imitation never tops an original

There is no way Jessica will outsell Mariah. Mariah is a legend! Jess can sing well, but ever since she dated John Mayer she makes funny faces when she sings, like HE does! LOL!
