Though it hasn’t officially been announced, a source says Prince William will marry longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton next year!
After eight years of dating, a source tells Us Weekly that the Prince of Wales is finally ready to settle down! Prince William, 28, told Kate Middelton she was “the one” in 2007, but wasn’t ready to get married yet — and who can blame him? After witnessing his parents go through a bitter divorce he wanted to make sure he was completely ready to settle down and it looks like his single days are coming to an end.
Kate has patiently waited for him after he vowed he would make her his princess and the two have been practically acting like they’re already married. The pair often stay at his private farmhouse watching movies and cooking instead of going out and partying like they used to.
Sources say it’s important for the royal couple to marry in 2011 because, not only does the year mark his mother Princes Diana‘s would-be 50th birthday, but also her 30th wedding anniversary to his father.
While William wants to make sure his mother’s memory is alive and well during one of the biggest moments in his life, don’t expect to see him get married in St. Paul’s Cathedral like his parents did. He’s thinking more along the lines of Westminster Abbey or St. George’s Chapel.
