Most people would be kicking themselves after missing out on a major reality series, but 16 and Pregnant starlet Ebony Jackson is thrilled she didn’t make the cut for Teen Mom!

Ebony Jackson was one of the featured teenage moms on MTV’s documentary series, 16 and Pregnant, but when it came to casting the spin-off, Teen Mom, she was turned down. And even though Maci Bookout and the gang are on the front of the magazine covers, Ebony is happy she’s living a life of anonymity with her daughter and isn’t all over the small screen.

“I think the reason I wasn’t chosen is that I was happy,” Ebony, 19, told Life & Style magazine. “All the other girls had
drama going on in their lives, and I just didn’t.”

“They kept pushing me to fight with him,” Ebony said about her audition process with her boyfriend (now husband), Josh, and their daughter, Jocelyn. “It was just three days after I had given birth and I was so emotional. And the producer just kept pushing and pushing me. I finally just ran to my mother crying and told her I couldn’t do it anymore, and she kicked everyone out of the house.”

“We’re so happy,” Ebony said. “We’ve even been talking about having another kid down the line. We’re a work in progress.”

Do YOU think Ebony made the right decision?

Ebony was my favorite because there was no drama with her. Yeah, with Josh finshing H.S but that was it. That’s why I love Ebony so much because there wasn’t a whole lot of drama with her and that showed how much her and Josh loved eachother and their baby.

I absolutely think she made the right decision.
Although I enjoy the girls (minus Amber) from Teen Mom, I do think that at a point we should not be glorifying them just b/c they chose to get knocked up as a teenager.

She made the right one. If they arn’t fighting and making a bunch of useless drama just so a show can make money, why should they? If they are happy and content let them be. Looks like they have a good future together with their daughter. Now let them be. It just goes to show how mature they both are.
