Miley turns 18 in just a few weeks, but she doesn’t want a fancy car — she just wants her parents to set aside their differences and celebrate together.
Despite her parents’ crumbling marriage, Miley Cyrus put on a brave face at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 7, and gushed about her upcoming birthday (she turns the big 1-8 on Nov. 23.) The singer, who had been rehearsing her performance of “Who Owns My Heart” for the EMAs all day, said that even though her parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are ending their 17 year marriage, she wants to have a simple celebration with her family.
“My family and [I] need time to all be together,” she told MTV News. ”I’m not going to go crazy; [just] have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family … because that would be really cool.”
“So that would be rad if we could all go to the beach or something,” she continued. “I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat.’”
We think it’s really sweet that she wants to help her parents reconnect, even if just for her birthday — don’t you?

Would be even nicer if they included Billy Ray’s son, Cody. Why is he always excluded? They put on this facade of being so family oriented and yet they don’t even acknowledge the existence of his child, who is Miley’s own half brother. The two older kids are not even Billy Ray’s. Hypocrites!
