Taylor’s determined to live up to the name of her band, Pretty Reckless, and with her beatup eyes and disheveled black top, no bottom, dog collar necklace and exposed bra she took her reclessness to a new level.

I wonder how Rihanna- a real victim of domestic violence – would feel seeing Taylor pretend to have the look of a roughed-up girl? Is it really sexy to imitate the look of a woman with so little self esteem she sticks with a man who treats her like a possession to be used and abused at will? Taylor Momsen at 17-year-old , may be too young to see beyond the shock value of her body-baring outfits and see that what she’s copy catting is no joke. The desperate-for-attention blonde turned up at the MTV European Music Awards in messes-up , undone men’s black shirt, lacy black bra, dominitrix boots, choker and gold bracelets . Yes, she turned heads on the red carpet oand on stage , but for all the wrong reasons!

Already an established actress, and very much missed on Gossip Girl these days, Taylor was accompanied by her band The Pretty Reckless for the evening.

She may not be Taylor Swift, but we highly doubt the country crooner could ever pull off this amazing look.

OH MY FREAKING GOSH! This is so stupid. I agree her outfit is stupid, but saying this is offensive to people who have been abused? Come on! This isn’t even imitating a black eye, it’s just ugly raccoon eyes. And, what really made me laugh was your bit about Rihanna. She would not be offended by this. She wouldn’t give a damn, and if she did, she would probably encourage it, because she’s pretty edgy too.

Damn this is a kinda stupid post. You all really reached to connect the two ladies and the connection makes no sense.
In fact why are you still talking about what she wore to this awards show, you all already wrote about it. I guess maybe it’s a slow day.

And you apparently think Rihanna has poor self esteem according to your 2nd line of your first paragraph,even though you know NOTHING about the personalities and behaviors of either girl. Maybe you didn’t think about that before you actually typed the line implying that EVERY woman who is in an abusive relationship ( or has an incident involving a physical altercation with their partner) has low self esteem.

I saw a picture of Taylor next to a picture of Alice Cooper from years ago: the two looks? Identical. And when was the last time we heard Bonnie criticising Alice Cooper for looking like he was physically abused? Bonnie, can you say “sexism?” Taylor is an admirable young woman who’s trying to acomplish something that’s pretty difficult, a female underaged singer trying to break into hard rock. It’s basically a boys club and to break in, Taylor’s going to have to continue doing what she’s already been doing for the last year: putting on the image of a hard rocker and putting out great music. She’s a smart young woman and she’s learning from those who succeeded in the past. She’s a hot mess, and that’s exactly what she needs to be to follow her dream. And you can tell that she’s succeeding: she’s pissing off all the right people.

This is ridiculous. No one believes these things except through jealousy. Nothing’s wrong with this look. She doesn’t look like a dead hooker. I think she looks good. I think it’s a callback to the history of punk fashion with a gothic influence. I think there’s nothing wrong with it.

If you find yourself disagreeing with me, consider why your opinions of things are so concrete that a style of makeup or clothing should set you off. Understand that Bonnie is way off interpreting domestic violence in this appearance, and it’s her jealousy that drives her. And maybe you’ll begin to see the nature of why any of you even care to disrespect another person, because they’ve done something, while you sit at your homes (or workplaces) and do nothing. (Except say deleterious things about others.)

Is there something bothersome about a young pretty blond girl free to do what she wants, not bound down by the doiley-and-sweater culture you’ve collectively created to protect yourself from the realities of things like natural selection?

I personally do not see appearing in public half nude as “out of control”; I reserve that title for bimbos who throw full glasses of beer at an ex-girlfriend, drive with a baby on the lap, or get caught DUI while speeding in a Ferrari.

Her “wares” are of a nice size, though at 17 they could use a little aging, as could her face, which still looks 14 and belies her height and figure.

What makes her sexy is the attitude that is her current stock in trade, and at which she is showing steady improvement in expression.

However, her sense of style is not so much original as quoted… Siouxsie Sioux eyes; Anna Tsuchiya torn tights and thigh-high slip; Wendy O Williams electrical tape crosses on her nipples; Madonna style “SLAVE” collar (remember the “Boy Toy” belt?).

She is exactly the role model young girls need right now.

This headline from one of HL’s “BFFs” encapsulates my points perfectly. After years of feigning saccharine maidenhood for The Rat Factory ALL girls girls pump the sexuality up for their post adolescent careers, as if that would make them suddenly appear “adult”. Or as if teens have no sexuality. (WTF happened to Margaret Mead?)

Taylor is wisely getting that out of the way now, while she still has adolescent desires and feelings to express; maybe by the time she is an adult, she can express adult attitudes and sexuality.

I do like this little girl. I think she tries a bit tooo hard to be a badass, but she is a great little singer and I appreciate that she is trying to bring a bit hard-ish rock for the younger kids ( i’m just happy she’s not doing euro dance pop ).

I like that she does look WAY different than most of the girls her age. I like the slutty look, then again I also liked Courtney Love (obviously one of her style idol).
