From football games to frozen yogurt, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been inseparable lately…is their friendship turning into something more?

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are totally open about their friendship and frequently poke fun at one another during interviews. However, in the last week they’ve been out in public twice together — once to Will Smith‘s son’s high school football game and then again to Menchie’s frozen yogurt shop in Encino, Calif. Should Justin’s make out buddy, Jasmine Villegas, be concerned?

“We were at a high school game and she came too,” Justin, 16, told Ellen Degeneres during an interview Nov. 3 about running into Selena at the high school football game. Seems awfully convenient, don’t ya think? Ellen sure did, and she was quick to call out the teen superstar.

“So you just happen to sit next to each other?” she asked.

He answered, smiling, “Yeah. It was the weirdest thing. She’s sweet. She’s a sweetheart.” Playing the coy card, huh, Justin? We’ll be keeping an eye on you!

On the flip side (literally), Selena, 18, wasn’t quite as complimentary to her friend when she was on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show Oct. 20. In fact, she said she wants to chop off his luscious locks!

“Sometimes he does that little thing when I’m hanging out with him when he flips it; it’s just so annoying!” the Disney starlet joked. “I’m always like, ‘You’re gonna hurt your neck or do something that will damage you!’” We think Sel will learn to love that little habit should the duo find themselves in couple-ville.

There’s no denying this dynamic duo has major chemistry, but wouldn’t they be adorable together?
