Partying the night before, a tattletale and a physical altercation — here’s why Demi Knew she had to seek help.

There have been so many rumors swirling around about what really led to Demi Lovato seeking treatment. While previous reports say it was a combination of exhaustion, anger toward ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and pressure from Disney, new details are emerging that tell a different story.

According to, 18-year-old Demi’s troubles started the night before the airport altercation, when she went out with some friends after the concert. Whatever activities Demi and Co. participated in, it did not make tour management happy at all.

The source says when tour managers and Demi’s Lovato’s stepfather, Eddie De La Garza, found out about the partying the night before, they questioned those involved.

“Demi reacted badly and perceived that someone on tour had told on her,” the source reveals.

Once Demi discovered she may have been tattled on, she confronted who she thought was responsible: one of her young backup dancers. “There was a short, physical altercation,” adds the source, who also called it “one sided.” The report also states that Demi’s blowup had nothing to do with Joe, 21, or his girlfriend Ashley Greene, despite previous claims of a “verbal assault” on the Twilight star.

From there, we know the rest of the story. Demi felt she needed to seek help after the airport incident and left the tour to check herself in for treatment for “physical and emotional issues.” Regardless or who or what caused it, we’re just happy to see Demi taking responsibility and getting help!
