Here are the steps Demi Lovato should have taken the second she realized ex-BF Joe Jonas had moved on after their breakup with Ashley Greene
Breaking up is hard enough to do without your recent ex happily moving on with a new girlfriend seemingly minutes after your split. Unfortunately for Demi Lovato, not only did her former BFF AND BF, Joe Jonas, start dating Twilight starlet Ashley Greene right away, but he also brought her on tour with him — meaning that Demi constantly had to witness their cutesy behavior. What’s a girl to do in this situation?
If the rumors are true, the 18-year-old checked herself into a rehab facility for “emotional and physical issues” BECAUSE of her former boyfriend and his new lady love. Let me remind you, we’re talking rumor here, not fact. Several issues could have contributed to the Disney starlet’s downward spiral and quest for help. However, if it was simply heartbreak over Joe causing her pain, here are the things she could have done to avoid such a drastic and sad situation.
- SURROUND YOURSELF WITH FRIENDS AND PROJECTS. The busier you are, the less time you’ll have to think about your man — and your replacement.
- CHANGE YOUR LOOK. Nothing says moving on like killer breakup hair or some new clothing. Go ahead, treat yourself. Looking good really IS the best revenge!
- PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE IN THE DATING WORLD. If he can move on, then so can you. I realize you may not want to — you want your ex back, after all — but perhaps he’ll realize what he lost when he sees you with someone else. If not, at least you found yourself a hot new date!
- IF HIS GIRL IS GOING TO BE IN YOUR FACE, DEAL WITH THE SITUATION UP FRONT. Be an adult. Talk to your ex, and tell him how uncomfortable her presence makes you — a la Ashley joining Demi and Joe’s tour. If he isn’t mature enough to realize he’s in the wrong, why the heck are you pining for him anyway?
