The British singer, who was six months pregnant, has lost her baby boy.
This is such terrible news. Lily Allen, who was six months pregnant, has lost her baby boy. Lily was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning (Oct. 28) after experiencing stomach pain. Doctors fought to save the unborn child this weekend, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
“It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby,” the singer’s spokesman says. Lily, 25, and Sam, 32, “ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made.”
This is the second miscarriage for Lily, who lost a baby in 2008 when she was dating Chemical Brothers’ Ed Simmons.
The “Smile” singer and her beau announced in August that they were expecting a baby, and Lily was preparing to put her career on the backburner to take on motherhood. This is devastating news and our sympathies go out to Lily, Sam and their families.
