INFphoto.comCeline Dion and her hubby René Angelil finally welcomed their two baby boys on Saturday (Oct. 23)! The proud papa shares his joy over the birth of his sons and this wonderful moment in their lives!

Celine Dion and her husband René Angelil have waited a long time for this moment in their lives. The happy couple couldn’t hold back their tears when they first laid eyes on their new twin boys! “When Saturday at 11:11 came, and they showed us the first baby that was crying, we were crying,” René, 68, says to the Canadian show ETalk. “It was a very emotional moment, and even though we didn’t speak to each other, we were both thinking about the time it took. We are very lucky, very privileged and very fortunate to have these boys.”

Celine was happy to be on bed rest in the hospital

After her battle with fertility problems, Celine, 42, finally conceived the twins on her sixth attempt at in vitro. “IVF is difficult emotionally,” she tells Hello! Canada magazine. “You have to keep in mind that you are so fortunate to have a family, you are a mom, you have a husband and you are lucky.”

This birth isn’t only special for Celine and René, but it is even more amazing for their 9-year-old son René-Charles who has been looking forward to being a big brother! “He was very, very happy that it was boys,” René says. “I remember a few months ago when his mom told him the day we would find out the sex of the baby, his reaction pointing to his mom’s belly was ‘I hope there’s not too many girls in there.’”

IVF doesn’t work for everyone

According to René-Charles, his new brothers, who are fraternal twins, definitely look different! His dad says that his son claims, “One looks like dad, and the other one looks like mom.” Aww! René-Charles can already tell his little brothers apart–he’s going to be a great big brother!

The family will enjoy some quality time together before Celine heads back to the Vegas stage! “We know she’s going to start rehearsing Jan. 17,” says René. “It gives her three months to recoup and she thinks she can do it.”

The baby boys are doing ‘fantastic!’

So do we! It will be great to see Celine doing the two things she loves–performing and being a mom! Congratulations to the entire Angelil family!
