The quirky star chose a dress from Lebanese designer Elie Saab when she wed Russell Brand in India this weekend.
Just last week, we told you Katy Perry was going to wear a whimsical dress from designer Elie Saab — and it turns out we were right! She said ‘I Do’ wearing a dove gray couture creation, complete with feminine lace sleeves, during the intimate ceremony in India on Oct. 23. It probably looked something like the gray bridal dress above from the designer’s AW 2010/2011 collection.
The designer is no stranger to the celeb set — in fact, he’s outfitted a everyone from Halle Berry and Rachel McAdams to Blake Lively for premieres, appearances, and major award shows in his couture creations and just launched his first line of ready-to-wear bridal dresses for spring 2011. The line starts at $2500 and has been available since Sept. 2010.
While I’m so happy Katy chose a designer who exudes femininity and luxury with his couture creations on her big day, what do you think? Are you surprised she didn’t step out in something more quirky?
