She’s only 9 years old, but Willow Smith seems mature beyond her years. Sure, she says filming the video for “Whip My Hair” was exhausting, but luckily she had her friends and family on set to support her.

“It was a long day,” says Willow Smith about shooting the video for her hit single “Whip My Hair.” If you haven’t already seen the 9-year-old in action, you must check out the video, below! It’s so catchy and impressive that a tween could do something so amazing. I guess it helps that her parents are superstars Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. But still, Willow worked her butt off to make the video look good. “It was hard sometimes, but, like, if you have a commitment to that you have to stick with it,” says Willow, who signed a record contract with music mogul Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label.

And the best part about shooting the video was the fact that Willow could work with her BFFs! “Having my Warriorettes there, my best friends caring — Jade, Angel Punky, they’re just all my best friends — and my family there just made it even better.”

Sure, her parents are in the business, but Willow wants everyone to know that they have never pushed her into performing. “It’s not because I have to, it’s because I want it,” she told MTV when she stopped by earlier this week (October 19).

I think this is one pint-sized performer who has a very long and successful career ahead of her. Do you agree, HollyMoms?
