Why Doesn't Suri Cruise Ever Wear a Coat? She Only Wore A Sundress When It Was A Chilly 67 Degrees In LA!

What was Katie Holmes thinking letting her daughter Suri Cruise run around wearing only a little summery slip dress on a rainy, chilly day in Hollywood? Jennifer Garner had her daughter, Violet, sensibly dressed in tights!

It’s late October — even in sunny Hollywood the temperatures have dipped quite a bit. So, why on earth was Suri Cruise, 4, out and about wearing just a summery tank dress while her mom Katie Holmes was bundled up in a long-sleeve shirt and pants on the set of her latest film — the comedy Jack and Jill?

Katie was holding a blanket which should obviously have been wrapped around the little one on Wednesday (Oct. 20). HollyMoms, do you ever let your kids go out without a jacket or coat during this time of year?

Does Katie have a baby bump?

The temperature in the Golden State didn’t get out of the 60s on Wednesday, which I think is way too cool for the tot to be out without a sweater at the very least. After all, Jennifer Garner‘s daughter Violet, was decked out in a raincoat and tights that same day in LA!

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Suri braving the cold weather without a jacket, but if she doesn’t want to dress appropriately, her dad Tom Cruise thinks that’s A-OK. “I believe she [should wear] whatever she wants to wear. She dresses herself,” he says. “I want to encourage her creativity and her own self-expression. I think that’s important for the child’s own identity.”

Well, for what it’s worth, personally, I think Tom and Katie should be encouraging their daughter to cover up in the cold weather, what do you think?

what i dont get about Suri is if she always gets her way and no-one is allowed to say no to her…what if she says no to her dad about his scientology plans..what then..will he just disown her or for once in his life lay down the law to her and make her go??

She always wears skirts too. This way of dressing is to make her stronger in relation with methods of the sect of Scientology.

Tom& Katie let Suri wear what she wants. When she wants. What she has on in the picture is a Summer dress. It is Fall.She needed @ least a light jacket,or the appropriate clothig. Tom says Suri dresses her self. He wants to encourage her creativity & her own self-expression. Thinks this is important for her own identity. We were encouraged to have our own identity.Express our selfs,be creative. Don’t be a follower. Be a leader. We were also taught to use our common sense. Until we were old enough to make decisios. Mom did. We were never forced to wear any thing we did not want to. We used our common sense. Which means, when the temp goes down.You dress appropritely. Katie said in an interview, Surie tells her what to wear. Suri does not suggest. She tells. Katie does what Suri tells her to do. I would never tell a parent what to wear. Much less what to do. These two adults need to take charge. If they don’t. Wait until she gets about 10. I guess these are just some of the teaching’s from the Cult they belong to.I can’t stand either one.

The fact that Suri has never worn pants has nothing to do with Scientology – I was a nanny for a Scientology family and this is not one of the religion’s “weird rules”.
