Adriana Lima Admits Looking Good Isn't Easy — She Eats Practically No Carbs & Works Out 2 Hours A Day To Prep For The Victoria's Secret Show!

Although she hardly looks human with her practically perfect body, it’s so refreshing to hear the model mom admit looking like that definitely doesn’t come easy! Find out how she preps for the highly anticipated fashion show!

There’s no denying the fact that Victoria’s Secret supermodel Adriana Lima is blessed when it comes to her physical appearance, but the mother of Valentina, who’s almost 1-years-old, admits that strutting around nearly naked, wearing little more than the $2 million dollar Fantasy Bra on the runway for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show definitely doesn’t come easy! In fact, a month and a half before the show she she amps up her diet and workout plan. So, how does the model mom maintain her practically flawless figure?

“Definitely zero carbs for sure…I’m doing a combination of different protein shakes — it’s called Metagenics. And also, I only can eat green vegetables, everything grilled or steamed, or four ounces of any type of protein…and usually that’s what I have for lunch and dinner, and every three hours in between I have a protein shake or cereal bar,” she told The Cut at a lunch to celebrate the launch of the infamous bra at Bobo in the West Village (in case you were wondering, the supermodel ordered a piece of chicken served on green vegetables and carrots).

I don’t know about you, but it’s a relief to hear that she has to watch what she eats and is dedicated to her workout routine. After hearing the way model Gisele bounced back after having her baby and listening to her claim that every woman can have a pregnancy just like hers, it’s refreshing to hear that while Adriana is blessed with her appearance, she also works hard to maintain her shape! Even someone as gorgeous as Adriana can’t just pop out a baby and do a near-naked photo shoot the next day. “I wanted to do it healthy,” she said about her post-baby body. “I’m really looking to my future. When I get older, I want to really be in shape. And also working out is a great source of detox, you know? You sweat out all the toxins, the impurities come out. Also it helps with your mood, you look great, it helps with your skin, and also it helps with my immune system too. I never get sick when I work out. I have actually more energy. Working out should be a part of everybody’s routine.”

The supermodel admits she spends two hours a day in the gym six weeks before the show prepping for the big occasion! “I don’t lift weights, I don’t like machines — everything I do is with my body weight…every day’s a challenge, every day you’re stepping out and learning something new. So it’s wonderful — I like it a lot. It’s very intense, but I like it.”

I’m sure having her genetics definitely doesn’t hurt, but it’s refreshing to know that even Adriana has to bust her butt at the gym! I don’t know about you, I wasn’t expecting the model to be so down-to-earth. I know I can’t wait to see her show off the Fantasy Bra in the fashion show come November!

Wow! Adriana looks sexy after losing her baby weight!
Thanks to Micheal Olijide and his workouts with her…he
really didn’t have too much to do for her because she
looks great anyway!

watch out for those cereal bars adriana! they have carbs! ;) yes, it is nice to hear someone be honest for a change about how difficult it is to look the way models look. it is work the same as you and i sitting down at a desk. i don’t think i’d have any friends if i ate her runway ready diet b/c i would be a cranky mess.
