One week after letting Mike ‘The Situation” Sorrentino go, Dancing With The Stars took a big hit in their ratings. Was he was the secret to this season’s success?
Dancing With The Stars endured three weeks of awkward dancing and chest-baring from 28-year-old Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino before he was voted off, disappointing fans of the Jersey Shore juicehead. However, no one in Hollywood batted an eye until the show’s ratings took a nose dive!
It could just be coincidence, but since The Situation has been sidelined, DWTS has experienced its lowest ratings of the season with only 18 million viewers in 18-49 age bracket! That’s 1 million less than the previous weeks impressive 19 million pull! The Situation doesn’t possess amazing dance skills, but he has captured the attention and curiosity of millions who watch him drink, dictate and GTL his life away on MTV’s hit reality show, Jersey Shore.
Now, it seems regardless of his skill, he was the show’s big draw that has been erased from competition. The Situation’s initial casting on Dancing With The Stars was met with mixed reactions. His Jersey Shore castmates predicted his demise while fans faithfully rooted for him week after week.
Now ABC will just have to wait and see how the show fairs without the fist pumping, self-promoting dynamo.
We’ll still be watching! Will you? Sound off below!
