Christina Aguilera has a new shoulder to cry on as she goes through her divorce from hubby Jordan Bratman! It’s celebrity DJ Sam Ronson, 33.

Apparently, “they’ve known each other forever and they’re good friends,” a source tells RadarOnline.com. “Samantha was in Mexico with Christina for Nicole‘s [Richie] bachelorette party” in late September.

While earlier reports pointed a finger at the girls’ party trip as the final straw in the Aguilera/Bratman marriage — now a new report in the New York Post‘s Page Six, blames the split over career issues, which seems like a more plausible explanation. “The superstar told pals she was ‘upset and frustrated’ by the lukewarm response to her  recent album, Bionic,”  says Page Six. The album had only sold 228,000 copies by the end of August. “She feels that he held her back when she wanted to focus more on her career.”

Another source also claims that Christina, 29, and Jordan, 33, barely spent any time together while she was on set filming the movie Burlesque, in which Aguilera co-stars with Cher. It opens Thanksgiving weekend.

On Oct. 14, Christina filed for divorce from Jordan citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the split.

Right now, Christina is only focusing on her 2-year-son Max and helping him to maintain stability in his life during this trying time. “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” Christina said in a released statement.

“She’s focusing on continuing to be a great mom,” a close friend of the couple says. “She’s spending as much time as she can with Max [as] Max is her No. 1 concern. She’s making a huge effort to continuing to be a good mom through this transition for him.”
