Sure she’s a wife, but Hilary Duff has no plans to tackle the role of mother anytime soon.
Hilary Duff and her Canadian hockey player husband, Mike Comrie, have only been married for six weeks, so it’s not so surprising that the last thing on the newlyweds minds is starting a family. In fact, the singer admitted that she and Mike aren’t ready to be parents just yet. “We haven’t sent thank-you notes out yet. Can we get that out of the way before?” she joked on the Valentine in the Morning radio show on Friday (Oct. 15) about their August wedding in Santa Barbara, CA.
While they’re not ready for the sleepless nights and never-ending dirty diapers right now, Hilary, 23, and Mike, 30, do plan on becoming parents someday. “We’re excited to have kids. But we don’t want to do it now,” she says. At this moment, Hilary only has eyes for Mike. “He’s a great guy,” she says. “He’s generous, caring, funny. We just laugh our heads off, which I need in life.”
‘Mad Men’ star Christina Hendricks is also freaked out
about the idea of having kids
Considering that having babies before getting married seems to be the norm in Tinseltown these days, we think it’s refreshing to read about a couple that wants to enjoy being married before bringing kids into their relationship. What do you think?
