Kristen is a strong, independent woman so it was no biggie for her to leave lover R Patz behind in Baton Rouge to head to LA to accept her her major Scream award — Best Fantasy Actress — for her role as Bella Swan in Twilight!

YAY! Kristen Stewart took one for the Twilight team! The 20-year-old actress , who plays Bella Swan in the saga, won the Best Fantasy Actress award presented by Batman villain Aaron Eckhart at Spike TV’s 2010 Scream Awards at the Greek Theatre in L.A., CA on Oct. 16.

Kristen, who wore a white Guishem dress,  came late to the awards, missing the general arrivals with the other actors, as she had to catch a flight back to L.A. from Louisiana where she had been getting ready to start filming for Breaking Dawn.

Though beau Robert Pattinson and BFF Taylor Lautner had to stay behind in Louisiana, Kristen’s other co-stars Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone were both in the audience during the awards ceremony to cheer her on.

Besides Kristen’s big win for the night, Eclipse took home awards for Best Fantasy Movie and Ultimate Scream which Kristen, Nikki and Jackson all accepted together.  R-Patz won Best Actor and Xavier Samuel won Break-out Male Performance, both for their performances in Eclipse.

Twilight‘s upcoming fourth installment, Breaking Dawn, was also named the Most Anticipated Movie!

Big night for the Twihards! Congrats!
