UPDATE 2: A source close to Justin Bieber’s camp tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively Justin will not speak on the issue until the police have investigated. “I’m not that concerned about this, we have a show in Vancouver and that’s what we are focusing on. I think whatever your sources say, I don’t think anything big happened, but we’ll see- I wasn’t there.”
The Biebz will be taking on bullies after being the victim of the F-word homophobic slur this weekend.
Justin Bieber has a new project: Facing down bullies, just like the one who called him a “faggot” at a laser tag match this weekend.
UPDATE: A source from Planet Lazer tells ZackTaylor.ca that there were never any homophobic slurs spewed during the laser tag match — and that it was all just an accident amidst a tough laser-tag match!
The whole thing went down over the weekend when the Biebs was playing laser tag in Canada with his father at Planet Lazer. According to TMZ, Justin told his friends he didn’t know how hurtful it would be being called a name. Justin is expected to make an announcement within the week that he is lending his support to the campaign against bullying.
According to Canadian blogger zacktaylor.ca, Justin was involved in an altercation during a laser tag game that involved a 12-year-old boy: “The 12-year-old … was surrounding Justin in the corner with his other… friends and shooting him during the game with their laser guns. Justin did what [anyone] would do during [laser tag] and was just trying to get away from getting shot at and accidentally hit the kid while running away.”
The kid’s sister said he started crying because he was hit hard, but when we saw the boy there [were] no marks or anything. Justin stuck around after in the lobby explaining what happened when the kids[sic] parents decided to call the police. “He also paid the bill for his laser game.”
