Kristin Says: 'The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' Is Really Depressing!

The series premiere was a really scary statement on what it’s like to be married in the storied neighborhood!

When I think of Beverly Hills, I imagine “swimming pools, movie stars” and the like — a place where the real magic happens. But after watching the Oct. 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I have to say: This is the most depressing group of women I’ve ever seen on any of the Real Housewives franchises!

I mean, first of all, there’s Camille Grammer, who at the time of filming was still married to actor Kelsey Grammer. Evidently, filming was the last straw in the marriage because you see Camille saying, “I’m the powerhouse behind Kelsey Grammer. I’ve kept him alive, I’ve saved his life…and I’m still here.” Bitter and jaded, party of one? Your table is now available.

Add to that former child star Kim Richards and the constant bickering with her sister Kyle Richards, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif (whose family owns the Palms Casino and the Sacramento Kings) and her next door neighbor, Lisa Todd (an empty nester married to a man who is more interested in their miniature dogs than his wife) and Taylor Armstrong (who says in the episode that marriage is 80 percent business, 20 percent finance) and this is a rather sad bunch indeed.

Between watching Taylor have what looks to be incredibly painful filler and injections and wincing as Camille flirted with the mascot of the Kings, this was a depressing take on what it’s really like to be a Beverly Hills wife. If fighting off aging and divorce is the best thing that happens in this franchise, I don’t think I’ll be going back.

But did you have a favorite Housewife from last night’s big premiere? Vote now!

I agree with the author of this article; this is indeed the most depressing of the RH series. These women are supposed to have it all. Instead, it’s divorce, plastic surgery, botox, fillers, collagen, sexless marriages, cheating spouses, bickering spouses and families, and now suicide. I mean, I guess it is authentic in that it shows that even people with money don’t have perfect lives, but Jesus H… This show depresses me.

And seriously, Kim?? Why would anyone think of casting her? She is so freaking BORING! That woman needs an identity of her own. It’s like she doesn’t even know who she is as a person outside of her kids (and her kids don’t seem to like her all that much) or her sister Kyle.

How is RHOBC getting a second season?!?!?! I found the DC Wives much more entertaining. I need a freaking valium and a cocktail to make it through an epi of RHOBC.

I have watched all of the RH series faithfully, but I think it’s time for the series to come to an end. The reports that are coming out about how Russell Armstrong was essentially broke and his credit cards were no longer usable just goes to show that this series is total BS. What we have here is great camera work and a bunch of people relying on credit to support lifestyles they shouldn’t be and CAN’T afford to be leading in the first place. Time for Bravo to get it together and stop celebrating people who live beyond their means (another example, the Guidices of RHONJ and Sonja of RHONY) and don’t pay back their debt responsibly. If we all racked up millions of dollars of debt and then filed bankruptcy like these folks do our nation’s economy would crumble.
