Woah! Jon Gosselin Says Being On Reality TV Has Hurt His 8 Kids And He'll Keep Fighting To Get TLC To Stop Filming Them For 'Kate Plus 8'

On Wednesday (Oct. 13) a judge denied Jon Gosselin’s plea to stop TLC from filming his eight children for Kate Plus 8. Now he’s taking to Twitter to tell the world that he feels guilty and thinks the kids are suffering emotionally by being on the show with their mom, Kate Gosselin. What do you think?

Jon Gosselin isn’t going to win any Father of the Year awards. After separating from his wife Kate in 2009, he left the kids behind to go gallivanting around the globe with his then-girlfriend Hailey Glassman. Now that his ex-wife and the kids — 10-year-old twins Cara and Madelyn and 6-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Joel — are starring in their own show for TLC Kate Plus 8, Jon is suddenly back on daddy duty and fighting to keep the kids out of the spotlight. “I do not believe being on TV is beneficial to any of them,” he Tweeted today (Oct. 15).

Is ‘Kate Plus 8′ going to get canceled?

Jon went to court on Wednesday (Oct. 13) hoping that a judge would take away Kate’s right to film the kids for TLC. When the judge denied his plea request, Jon took to Twitter to tell his side of the story. “I honor the judge’s decision, but I do not support it. I do not believe being on TV is beneficial to any of them,” tweeted Jon. “They are no longer toddlers that are oblivious to what is going on around them. They are in school and desperately in need of a normal life.”

‘Raising Sextuplets’ couple refuses to film an episode about their marriage problems

His kids being bullied and picked on are major worries for Jon. “Each of them has experienced negative effects of having their lives so public. Some are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues. My goal for my children is for them to have a normal childhood,” says Jon, who swears that he still supports his family financially. “I am supporting my children to the best of my ability. I am and have been actively seeking employment. I have been barred from accepting entertainment deals that would generate income for my family due to contractual obligations. I am also actively looking for a job outside of the entertainment industry and so far, have not secured a position. In the mean time, I have been focusing on spending time with my children and providing a safe, stable, normal and private environment for them!”

While he was unsuccessful this time, Jon insists that he will not rest until his kids lives are no longer being filmed. “I will not stop fighting to remove my children from television. I would like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially my children for not taking a stand earlier in my life and not questioning my decisions to have our lives documented and displayed. I will have to answer to my children for the rest of my life. I will have to live with this guilt the rest of my life. I am truly sorry!” he adds.

HollyMoms, do you sympathize with Jon? Or are you a fan of Kate and her show and hope that Kate Plus 8 continues until the kids go to college?

This family resembles the Lohens so close that its creepy. She is the twin of Dina and he is the twin of Michael. All these losers are making money off their kids backs and no question, the parents are useless and talentless. Be done with them I say…=)

OMG…I didn’t read the end of your story..can you imagine your pre/teen and teen years being played out for the viewers to see, s**t, those kids will have major issues if that were to happen. I say pull the plug and live off the millions they made in the last few years. Those millions should buy plenty of peanut butter and bread..

I believe kids pick on them, they are on tv with a crazy mother and filming every meltdown they have. Of course classmates watch and make fun of them. As for TLC , that network will drop them like a hot potato as soon as their ratings fall down, and I’d expect it soon. This family is dull and the mother has some mental issues which should be looked into. I give their show a 2 out of 10..
