We caught up with Danielle Fishel who played Ben Savage’s lovable girlfriend Topanga and she told us who’d she love to see take on her name making personality!

We’ve seen hit show’s like The Brady Bunch, Hannah Montana and Starsky and Hutch be turned into hit movies at the box office, but here at HollywoodLife.com we’d love to see our personal fave, Boy Meets World hit the big screen. If you don’t remember Boy Meets World, it followed the trials and tribulations of Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage, as he navigated through adolesence with his BFF Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong) and girlfriend Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel).

We chatted with Danielle, 29, Oct. 13 at the GUESS & MARIE CLAIRE Exclusive T-shirt Launch party in support of the Sojourn Project and she told HollywoodLife.com that none other than teen tart Miley Cyrus, 17, would be her top choice to play Topanga.

“The first person who pops in my mind is Miley Cyrus! Is that weird? I’m not going to lie, I like Miley Cyrus, I have her songs on my iPod on my run list,” she said.

Miley playing another good girl role? With her recent racy videos and braless behavior it seems that ship has sailed for Miley. Danielle admitted she’s not a huge fan of Miley’s recent choices, but thinks she could definitely do the role justice.

“I question her latest decisions! She’s rolling all over the bed and pantless in the limo, Topanga was such a good girl and Miley is just a naughty girl, [but] she can totally put on a wig and be somebody else. So put a wig on her and she could be Topanga!”

We aren’t going to hold our breath — but we gotta admit, it’s something we’d love to see!

Miley cant hold a candel to danielle.this is bad, im a huge boy meets world fan and i speak for everyone, if that slut plays the role thousands. And even millions will not see the movie. It would be a huge success of a movie if they had the original cast in it.Hollywood always think they know what is best getting these little bubble gum pop stars to play a role of a real actors and actress it wont sell there just going to prove are point again and fail another movie
Bring back the original cast for the love if pete.

Definately a very bad idea. Miley sings, Topanga doesn’t. Miley wants attention, Topanga doesn’t. Topanga was labled as “weird” and “spacey” by her peers because her parents ran a New-Age bookstore and she practiced those beliefs. I’d like to see Miley try to act like that, especially the episode where they had an essay of what they wanted to do/be in the future.

THIS IS THE WORST IDEA IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD (maybe second to the holocaust) I grew up on Boy Meets World and I love it dearly and if that horrible person FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GENERATION is cast to play one of my favorite female characters of all time….well I will just not see the movie. And neither will any true-born in the ’90s-fans. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE

Exactly.
“Boy Meets World” is a whole different generation; put Miley in it and you’re basically saying ‘eff you to my childhood.

Miley sure looks hot in that dress! Miley is so pretty I’m sure she could play someone younger. In her next film LOL I think she is playing a 15 year old.
