David Arquette swears his wife was in the wrong for having an ‘emotional affair’ with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt. Do you agree?

David Arquette was totally in the wrong for blabbing all about his unhappy marriage on Howard Stern‘s radio show this week, but shouldn’t his estranged wife, Courteney Cox, also be taking heat for her ‘emotional affair’ with Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt?

The Scream 4 star opened his big mouth to reveal that he and Courteney, 46, hadn’t had sex in months, revealing that her close and personal relationship with Brian, 41, was to blame. The 39-year-old said his wife and her co-star — who ironically happens to play her ex-husband on the ABC comedy — were involved in an “emotional affair”, adding that “part of the terms of our separation was that I was allowed to see other people and so was she.”

But is an emotional affair REALLY cheating? I say YES! In fact, I think it’s worse than an actual sexual relationship.

David, for example, slept with bartender Jasmine Waltz “once, maybe twice” while separated from Courteney, but he completely disconnected himself from feeling anything; it was purely physical.

According to David, Courteney is having an affair of the heart — and that’s much more complicated than a simple sexual relationship. If she really IS having an emotional affair — aka in LOVE with Brian, her marriage to David is well and truly over. An emotional relationship is the truest and most important form of intimacy, after all.

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is emotional cheating or physical cheating worse?
