Contrary to rumors, Celine Dion has not scheduled a C-section on October 22.
Celine Dion‘s husband Rene Angelil, 68, has released a statement denying that the couple has scheduled a C-section on Oct. 22 for the birth of their twin boys. “There is nothing scheduled. We do not have a date,” Celine’s husband and manager tells People. Despite rumors that the singer has made outrageous demands at a Florida hospital, Celine is waiting as long as possible before delivering her boys. “She would never intentionally endanger her unborn children by scheduling a birth early like this,” her rep says.
Although there were claims that Celine, 42, had made diva demands, such as handpicking her nursing staff and reserving a room for a security team, her rep says that it is completely untrue. “It’s all false,” says the rep. “Celine and her doctors are hopeful that she can continue her pregnancy as long as possible, and hope to get her to at least 37 weeks gestation to ensure the healthiest outcome for her children.”
Celine, who tried in-vitro six times before finally getting pregnant, needs to rest up and not to rush deliver. The doctors believe that waiting it out is the healthiest thing for her baby boys, who will join big brother Rene Charles, 9. “They want Celine’s pregnancy to go as long as possible, at least until the first week of November,” explains Celine’s rep.
So, we all have to wait a little longer to see the new baby boys. But that’s OK. Stay well, Celine!
