What did you think of her edgy get-up last night?

iCarly starlet Miranda Cosgrove showed off an edgier, grown up side when she stepped out for the premiere of her latest flick, Despicable Me in London on Oct. 11. Clad in a long-sleeved, black camouflage mini dress from Yigal Azrouel‘s younger, contemporary capsule fall 2010 collection Cut 25, she managed to show off an edgy side without looking too over the top for a 17-year-old.

Honestly, I feel bad for most of the Nickelodeon and Disney darlings — it’s definitely a struggle for them to grow into their own personal style while they’re in the spotlight and most of the fans are used to seeing them in such a squeaky clean light. Luckily, Miranda managed to show the young starlets how it’s done in her edgy yet totally age appropriate mini! Not only did she find a dress with the perfect balance between edgy and youthful, but she looks so comfortable and nothing about the get-up seems forced. Between the sleeves, the pattern, and the neckline the mini made a statement without being too revealing and the star seemed to ooze confidence in the fun frock.

I was also super impressed with her choice of footwear — her laced up Giuseppe Zanotti black suede booties really took the look to the next level without taking it too far. I hope more young stars follow her lead — you can look edgy and chic without looking cheap on the carpet! What did you think of her look last night?
