The pop star and her husband, who met in 2002, have been separated for a “few months!”
The celebrity break-up train continues this week with news that singer Christina Aguilera has split with husband Jordan Bratman. “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our [2-year-old] son Max remains as strong as ever,” the singer tells People magazine.
Us Weekly spoke with a source who reports the couple has been, “separated for a few months.”
The source goes on to say that the couple had been doing all they could to rekindle their romance, including their August vacation to Italy, which Christina suggested. This is not a legal separation or a divorce, the two are instead just taking some time apart to try and strengthen their relationship.
Christina and Jordan were last spotted grabbing dinner at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills on Sept. 22.
Sources say that the two are focused on son Max more than anything at this difficult time.
Christina and Jordan met in 2002 while he was working at Azoff Music Management, Christina’s management firm. They were married on Nov. 19, 2005 in Napa Valley.
This was the first marriage for the 29-year-old singer and actress, soon to be seen in Burlesque, and her 33-year-old husband.
