Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush have split and reconnected countless times — but is this healthy, or are they just in for more heartbreak by getting back together again?

If you’ve ever had that one guy that you just couldn’t resist, and kept on going back to time after time, then you’ll sympathize with Kim Kardashian‘s situation: she just can’t seem to quit ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush.

Although the two split for a second time in March (they broke up for the first time in July 2009 and got back together in October of that year), RadarOnline is reporting that the two are now moving towards round 3 of rekindling their romance. “Kim and Reggie have realized they share a common bond and at this time, Kim is providing Reggie all the support he can get as he recovered from the broken fibula in his right leg,” a source tells the site.

For his part, the 25-year-old New Orleans Saints player hasn’t ruled out a possible reunion. “Yeah, anything’s possible,” he told E! News. “We’ve always been on good terms, always. No matter what happens.”

But SHOULD this failed couple reunite? Kim is turning 30 on Oct. 21 — and although that’s hardly geriatric by any means, it IS a milestone birthday. She’s always spoken about wanting a family, babies, a husband — and how can that happen when she hasn’t been able to make love work with her much younger man?

In Kim and Reggie’s case, I believe they truly DO love each other — and that their timing is off. Relationships aren’t easy,  and these two are going to need to make some sacrifices and life changes if they really want to be together. Reggie has largely avoided the limelight, and Kim’s hectic social life had always been a strain on their relationship. Given that she’s got a new show — Kourtney & Kim Take New York the reality starlet doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Unfortunately, love just isn’t always enough — and these two should NOT get back together.
