Nicole Richie took a break from her ongoing book tour in support of her second novel, Priceless, to have a family outing with fiancé Joel Madden, 31, and the couple’s two kids, daughter Harlow, 2½ and son Sparrow, 13 months, at a Hollywood California Pizza Kitchen.

Nicole, 29, has been traveling around the country promoting her novel, about a girl who loses everything, leading her to discover what in life is really important, but was back in LA for a signing and reading earlier in the week. After years together and two children, Nicole and Joel will reportedly be tying the knot this winter in a secret ceremony.
