Having been adopted herself as a baby, Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth is now thinking about continuing the cycle and adopting a little one of her own!
Tony award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth knows first-hand how important adoption is. She was adopted as a baby and was lucky enough to find a loving family and the right home. After her personal experience, she says she can easily see herself adopting a child of her own! “When I see other single parents, I think, ‘Maybe I can do it too,’” she said during her acceptance speech for an Angels in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute on Wednesday (Oct. 6).
Kristin, 42, obviously has a big heart to go with that huge voice of hers. She recently paid for 14 foster children to see her perform in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises and when asked if she would ever see herself adopting a foster child she told People magazine, ““I could very easily be that person.”
The Glee guest star was adopted by two chemical engineers, who she says couldn’t be more different to her! “They couldn’t understand why I never understood math or science,” she says. But then again her parents can’t carry a tune! “They should never sing aloud,” she jokes. “I tell them to keep that inner voice.”
