The celebrity hair guru tells you how to get the actress’ much talked-about new hairstyle!

Keira Knightley’s new haircut is turning the world upside-down: EVERYBODY is talking about it. However, very few people are talking about how to get the cut. I decided it was time to ask for expert advice, so I called Ric Pipino, celebrity hairstylist to such amazing stars as Ali Larter, Bridget Moynahan, and Lenny Kravitz. How do you get the cut and keep it looking fabulous? Here’s what he had to say:

How was this cut achieved?
Keira’s hair was cut blunt with a mixture of graduation and layering. The technique was great. She looks amazing!

Do you like it? What’s your opinion?
I like it very much on her. It accentuates her eyes and her long, lean neckline. It also works perfectly for her hair texture.

Who does this cut work best on?
You have to look at a woman’s facial features to determine whether the length and shape of a hairstyle will look right for her. It’s best to evaluate whether a person could wear a cut based on their facial shape and neckline. A cut this length and style is great for women with smaller facial features, long necklines, and larger lips.

How would a woman request such a cut from her stylist? Any particular terms to use?
I’d say to ask your stylist for a chin-length layered bob.

What products should she use to maintain the style?
Definitely use Revolution In Cut Short Layered Bob Primer to prepare the hair for styling, then use Revolution in Cut Lift Me at the crown of the head to get extra volume and give more oomph to the roots.

Awesome advice, right? Ric’s Revolution in Cut hair products are specifically designed to support all sorts of hair cuts and hair types. Be sure to use his Care for My Cut Daily Shampoo and Conditioner to keep your hair looking spectacular, no matter what the length.

Think you want to try Keira’s cut? Take Ric’s advice and give it a shot!
