Drama-rama! After an especially tough critique of Brandy and Maksim’s Samba on Dancing With The Stars, judge, Carrie Ann Inaba is receiving backlash from an irate Maksim Chmerkovskiy who feels her comments were totally out of line.

Judge vs. dancer, whose side are you on? Tempers flared after the Oct. 4 episode of DWTS when Carrie Ann Inaba laid into Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his teaching technique with contestant, pop R&B singer, Brandy.

“It’s an absurdly disrespectful thing for her to even think of doing,” the pro hoofer told E! Online Oct. 5. “Is she crazy? She’s not my mother.”

Maksim is pissed that judge Carrie Ann Inaba would have the audacity to attack his teaching technique when, in his opinion, has nothing to do with the actual performance being judged.

“My teaching methods have nothing to do with our samba yesterday,” he told E! Online. “There’s no reason to comment on my teaching methods. Their job is to assess a celebrity’s dancing at that moment. I just feel the judges take it upon themselves to judge way more than they are supposed to—and it’s a shame.”

Maksim also feels this season’s scoring is inconsistent and hints of unfair treatment toward couples who are working their hardest.

“There’s absolutely no consistency,” he says. “There were other couples that literally put their heart and soul into it and did a much better job than they got scored. I just feel it’s a little bit unreasonable. Some people get praised for minimal and certain people get put down while having put out a lot more than others. Something’s off.”

With comments like that we’re curious to see how the rest of the season plays out. Do you think Maksim is right? Let us know!
