Bristol Palin and Maci Bookout are not only facing the challenges of teen motherhood, but they are trying to be good moms under the spotlight of the media. Luckily, the two 19-year-old celebrity friends are able to lean on each other for support. With Bristol’s new-found stardom on Dancing With the Stars and Maci’s appearances on the show Teen Mom, the duo know exactly what it feels like to be the center of attention. “I feel like Maci and I have the same situation,” Bristol tells In Touch.

Bristol, mom of 21-month-old Tripp with ex-fiancé Levi Johnston, met Maci at the Candie’s Foundation Event to prevent teenage pregnancy in New York City this summer and hit it off with the mommy of Bentley, 18 months. “We talked about experiences we’ve shared,” Bristol says.

Maci is going through a custody battle with Bentley’s dad, Ryan!

Now, the teens keep in close contact and are able to relate to one another’s personal situation. “The other day, I saw an episode of Teen Mom, and then I texted her, saying, ‘Oh my gosh, I totally went through that exact same thing!’” says Bristol, “the show doesn’t glamorize teen pregnancy; it’s the raw truth [of ] how difficult it really is.”

Study finds that one-third of teen moms get pregnant again within two years!

But no matter what happens to them, both moms are so in love with their little boys! “I never knew it was joyful,” Maci tells RadarOnline.com of life as a mom, adding that “waking up every day to beautiful little boy who loves me more than anything” is rewarding.
