The Glee-cret is out! Gwyneth has officially signed on to guest star on Fox’s hit singing show: get all the details of her role HERE!

The continuous amount of star power that walks through the hallowed halls of McKinley High School is pretty impressive – and now that Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow has signed on to star as a substitute teacher, we’re Gleeking out!

“Yes, it’s true!” show creator Ryan Murphy gushed to Us Weekly, adding, “She is a fan of the show.”

Gwyn, 38, is also an amazing singer! Not only did she warble her heart out in the movie, Duets, but her tune from the upcoming country & western flick, Country Strong, is being released as a single! But how many solos will you hear Ms. Paltrow sing? “She is going to be playing a substitute teacher who Matt Morrison’s character falls for,” Murphy continued. “She will be doing 3 or 4 solos.”

WOW. Well, we guess it’s only right, given that Ryan, 45, actually WROTE the role for Gwyneth! “She is a friend of mine and I admire her,” he said; he actually directed the actress in 2006’s Running With Scissors. “I said, ‘If I write a part for you, will you do it? And she said, ‘Yes!’” He added, “She is so talented and good at it. She’s really excited.”
