Despite recent rumors of pregnancy, Mariah Carey was seen with a drink in her hand on stage at a concert in Singapore!
Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon have been dodging questions of her possible pregnancy, but after she was caught sipping champagne at her concert in Singapore, it looks like we may have to rethink our assumption that she’s expecting! It is obvious that Mariah has a certain glow about her, but if she is drinking alcohol, what looks to be a bump might actually just be bloating or weight gain. Experts are divided on whether it’s OK to drink alcohol while you’re pregnant, but as there is some doubt, an expectant mother should never intentionally put her baby in harm’s way!
“No amount of alcohol at any point during pregnancy is safe,” expert Dr. Susan D. Rich MD, MPH of the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome tells TheBump.com. “Once you find out you’re pregnant, you should stop drinking immediately. If you find you’re pregnant and have already had a couple of drinks, stop now.”
But other experts say that it is perfectly fine to have a glass of wine or beer occasionally during pregnancy. “From a rational point of view, an occasional glass of alcohol is fine,” Dr. Jane Minkin MD of the department of OB/GYN at Yale University tells TheBump.com. “If you’re at your sister’s wedding and it comes time to toast with a glass of champagne, it’s perfectly OK. People can get carried away and think crazy things.”
Mariah, with all these tummy-covering outfits and pregnancy rumors, we want to know already — baby-on-board or not? We sure hope you aren’t putting a new baby at risk!

I agree with Caroline 100%. I was sick morning-noon & night during the first trimester of my pregnancy. Ginger Ale helped with the nausea. I also went through 6 yrs of fertility to get pregnant. You are so protective of the baby the second you find out your pregnant that you do everything you can to carry a healthy baby to term. If she is a high risk pregnancy which I’m sure she is. It also means no SEX. She is not a dumb woman. I’m sure to is doing everything her doctors are telling her to do.
Also our children during the holidays have juice in their champagne glasses. Just because it’s a champagne glass doesn’t mean it’s champagne their drinking.
